Not having good luck with my estradiol patch.

Well I think I got my patch figured out..Had to take it off yesterday morning. Wait for about 6 or so hours and put it on roughly at 11:30 at night my time. I didn't wake up this morning with a god awful frontal migraine..Meaning most of the pressure from the headache in the front of my head and the temples.

I was able to get up around 12 finally and get some stuff done..I'm stiffer then stiff this morning, mostly probably hormone related from waiting so long to put the patch back on. It's something I can live and function with...However having an extreme headache like I've been getting is not.

Had a bad night though, my daughter didn't seem to sleep well and my son is having problems this morning with his stomach after having ate a lot of fresh fruits yesterday..Poor kiddo. He'll learn eventually not to eat so much..It's summer and their really refreshing and healthy snacks to have around.

So that's been our day so far..I did manage to get more laundry in, vacuum upstairs, clean the bathroom upstairs, rugs some of the logs and some other stuff got vacuumed.

Now I'm listening to music, a band called Mekanism/Ember falls now, their a Finnish metal band, very good. Check their youtube channel out under Ember Falls. I think some of their older stuff is no longer on their channel as they are working on a new album now with a new lead singer. I really loved their old singer Criss Valley, his voice is amazing!

This is one I haven't listened to yet but let me know if its any good...Looks like the right video so we'll see.

A tag from a friend on GG. I added glitter with permission.
Thank you Robbie!

Cilantro lime rice, like the taco bell cantina rice..Alot better cus its homemade!

Well, I have been trying to figure out how to make the Cantina rice from taco bell..I really like it, alot of people I know really like it, but I've come up with this and its been a hit every time I make it someone begs for the recipe..So here you go...Here's the recipe, enjoy! Will post picture tomorrow!

Cilantro lime rice with my turkey green chile enchiladas.

Cilantro lime rice
2 cups long grain rice
1 small onion, diced fine
2 green onions, diced fine
2 tsp minced canned garlic or 1 tsp fresh garlic clove minced
1/2 tsp ground cumin
2 heaping tsp Better then boulion Roasted chicken soup base(my tsps are bear sized, so probably 1 or 2 Tbsp for regular spoon.)
4 cups water or chicken broth,(do not use the chicken base if you use broth.)
1 Tbsp lime juice
zest of 1 lime
1 tbsp minced fresh cilantro leaves
Salt,(watch the salt with the base, unless you use low sodium everything then its okay.)
(becareful with pepper, since there is cumin added already.)

In a large sauce pan over medium high heat, cook and stir rice cumin, salt and pepper in some olive oil until slightly transparent, add rice and cilantro..Cook and stir until rice is lightly toasted being careful not to burn.
Add lime juice, zest and some salt, pepper to water with chicken base mixed in. Stir in to sauce pot..Bring to a boil for 5-8 minutes, stir a few times. Reduce heat cover and simmer until rice has absorbed all of liquid...Fluff with a fork and serve. Top with some minced fresh cilantro if desired.

This recipe is GF. My ingredients are all Gluten free in this recipe.

About Mystyhaze21 other wise known as Leah offline.

Hi Everyone, Well I guess I'll start by sharing a bit about myself..My name is Leah, I live in the state of Idaho with my two small children. I've got a rare genetic disease known as 22 q 1.1 deletion syndrome or DiGeorge Syndrome..

Google description is as such: DiGeorge Syndrome (DGS) is a primary immunodeficiency, often but not always, characterized by cellular (T-cell) deficiency, characteristic facies, congenital heart disease and hypocalcemia. DGS is caused by abnormal formation of certain tissues during fetal development.

I've got twins, a boy and a girl. My daughter has it as well and was born without a pulmonary artery, coinciding collateral,V.S.D and a right aortic arch instead of a left swinging arch. She had a g-tube put in at 5 months if I remember right and a fundoplication done to put the feeding tube in.
She had a reconstructive surgery done at 7 months and also another one done before age 2. She spent the first 8 months of her life in the hospital in Spokane Washington and Palo Alto California at the Children's hospital at Stanford.

For myself, I have Systemic Lupus, with a pending diagnosis of second stage MS. Also have a moderate form of AS, spinal fusion on L2 to L5 with a *45 curve that forms inward instead of a out ward curve, so I have my thoracic and some parts of my ribs fusing.
No, I'm not held together with duct tape or rubber bands but some days it feels like that between chronic joint, back and other pains. I've constantly having to deal with my back spasming from SI joints and having some anti-imflamitory injections from my mom who is a nurse
that my doc has allowed to give me
them at home so I dont have to
constantly go into town for them when the pain is
so bad.

If I have any little bits of stress it flareups big time and I'm right back on steroid injections, trigger point injections and Solumedrol to kick start the med to get the joint inflammation down. I may look fine on the outside minus the Mylar rash across my face, but I'm fighting a massive amount of pain daily in the inside. So the next time you decide to open your mouth and insert nasty judgement and comments here...think about what your going to say..
All of you who suffer with chronic pain daily..Your all warriors...and in a never ending battle. Keep up the good fight.
I do have hobbies on a lighter side, I love to cook when I can, my most recent hobby is Adult is very relaxing to color before you go to bed, it helps you unwind from a stressful day.

I love to cook, I'm a sous chef by trade,
also love geology, meteorology, anything to do with earth science and weather. I'm a crafty mommy, like to make bracelets or little outfits for my kiddos to play dress up with.

My youngest daughter is really into dress up and hello kitty so I kind of cater to it being a fan myself of hello kitty. I love beading, making sparkly jewelry, or embellishing little trinket boxes, water bottles, shoes or anything I can get my hands on that needs some sparkle.
I think I've drawn little pictures and doodles on almost all the surfaces of my boxes or my pc that I could..I get called the queen of customization including my windows desktop. I love music, my favorite bands are black veil brides, five finger death punch, korn, b4mv...I listen to alot of heavy metal, rock, hard rock, symphonic metal.
I'm pretty average as far as hobbies and likes. I've learned to adapt with some daily activities because of pain or not being able to function well as I could.

Well that's a little about me, probably seems like alot but its not as much as I could put.I'm sorry I'm not a professional writer, I probably write how I talk, atleast I try to make sure my spelling and grammer is some what corrected.

Thank you to all that leave me comments and share my blog..Please feel free to ask questions if you have any...I dont mind I get asked them constantly about the medical issues.

Btw: I'm a huge Black veil brides fan! I love them, their music really helps me on my down days..I really love how all their fans connect as well. Fan bases is awesome!

Tasty weekend summer meals

Hi Everyone, I'm not to good at this blog thing. This is my first real post. I hope you guys enjoy my stories, rants, raves, glitter graphics and recipes..But to start here is my first recipe post...I made this actually last night to have for dinner tonight. My mom put on the pasta for it and we did the chicken. It turned out really good so I hope you guys enjoy it as well! Comments are always appreciated..I will try to respond as much as I can to questions as I go.. So here it is. Enjoy!

Ps. I will add my picture for it soon!

Bruschetta topping  2 large tomatoes, seeded and chopped
1 medium red onion, diced
1 medium green bell pepper, seeded and diced
1 medium red bell pepper, seeded and diced
2 Tbsp canned chopped garlic, or 1 large chopped garlic clove
Balsamic vinegar, to taste
1 cap full apple cider vinegar
2 tsp dried parsley flakes
1/2 tsp dried basil or 1 tsp fresh minced basil leaves
Salt and pepper, to taste
Enough evoo to make it moist but not dripping with oil

Combine ingredients in a glass or plastic bowl with a lid, season to taste. Allow to set over night covered tightly.
You can add it to fresh pasta, or on top of toasted french bread
or baguette
with butter and rubbed with a fresh garlic clove.

We also made a few chicken breasts to go with it, seasoning them with some salt and pepper and then frying them in a skillet with evoo over medium high heat, and topped them with freshly sliced parmesan cheese. I diced mine up after it had set awhile added it to my pasta and tossed it with a bit more cheese, added my bruschetta and it was a dang good dinner!

I had some chicken for my kiddos, diced their's up and served it with the pasta with just some red sauce seasoned with some italian herbs, garlic and onion.  They really liked it. So its kid approved!
